Why take crochet classes at a local studio?

Watching videos is great for curiosity, but nothing replaces a pair of eyes on your hands. A local class means immediate feedback on tension, posture, and stitch anatomy—plus the delight of learning alongside makers who celebrate your wins. At AriYARN we:

  • Keep groups small for real 1:1 time with your instructor.
  • Welcome every pace; your path might be slow and mindful or fast and fearless—both are good.
  • Build community with weekly Stitch N’ Craft nights that turn classmates into friends.

Clarity first: learn to “read” your stitches so every pattern becomes friendlier.

Small groups, big encouragement. Progress comes naturally when you’re supported.

Crochet 101 Beginner

New to hooks? Coming back after years away? Crochet 101 is your soft landing. We’ll cover comfortable grip, neat chains, single and double crochet, half double crochet, reading an easy pattern, and finishing basics. You’ll leave with ideas for a first project (think scarf, washcloths, or headband) and the confidence to keep stitching.

Tunisian Crochet 101 All Levels

Tunisian crochet blends the rhythm of knitting with crochet’s sculpted texture—worked on a longer hook and perfect for fabric with presence. In Tunisian 101 you’ll learn the foundation row, Simple/Knit/Purl stitches, how to avoid curling, color striping, and blocking for shape. In the follow-up to the 101 class, the sampler format makes it approachable, and every square teaches a new skill you’ll reuse in garments and accessories.

Beautiful stitches start with beautiful materials. We curate fibers that glide on the hook and show off texture—soft merinos for stitch definition, cotton for crisp motifs, alpaca blends for halo, and indie-dyed colorways that turn a simple pattern into “wow.”
